Speaking의 평가기준은 응시자의 영어구사능력, 적절하고 알맞은 문법과

어휘력을 평가하며 효과적으로 커뮤니케이션 할 수 있는가를 측정하는 시험입니다.

Test에서 다루어지는 Topic은 충분히 예측할 수 있는 기존의 기출문제 안에서

준비할 수 있는 내용이며 많은 연습이 필요합니다.

 

이번 주에는 Part 1에서는 number, pollution에 관하여 Part 2, Part 3에서는 animal, zoo에 관하여 기출문제를 바탕으로 샘플답안을 올립니다.  샘플답안들은 저희 웹사이트 www.noble-academy.com 자유게시판에도 동시에 올리고 있습니다.

 

 

Part 1

 

내용 : 본인의 신상명세 및 개인생활에 대한 질문들이 나옵니다.

주의사항 : 의사소통에 중점을 두며 대화를 익숙하고 매끄럽게 이어가는 것이 중요합니다.

1.      What is your special/favorite number?

 

My favorite number is number 7 because this number is lucky in Korea.

Also, I prefer odd numbers over even numbers.

 

My favorite number is 21. I play sports and I always have this number on my jerseys. This number represents good luck for me.

 

I don’t have a favorite or special number. I don’t think that they represent any luck or fortune.

 

2.      What are the special numbers in Korea?

 

I think the special numbers in Korea are number 7 and number 4; number 7 means “Lucky” and number 4 means “dead”. In Korea, we use “F” instead of “4” in elevators.

 

3.      Is it easy to memorize names or numbers?

 

Yes, it’s easy for me to memorize names or numbers.

I always try to repeat the name or number multiple times in order to memorize them.

 

No, I have always been really bad at memorizing names and numbers. I try to write them down as soon as I learn them so I do not forget.

 

4.      How do you train your memory?

 

One way to learn someone’s name is to repeat their name back to them once they have introduced themselves. Try to use their name as much as possible so the name doesn’t slip your mind.

 

5.      What numbers do you need to remember?

 

It is important to learn your phone number along with your close friends and family. If you lose your phone by accident, you will not be able to look up those numbers on your phone.

 

 

<pollution>

 

1.      How do you feel about pollution in Calgary?

 

In my opinion, I think that Calgary is a clean city. The air seems very clean and feels very fresh. However, there is always room for improvement. Downtown Calgary is very busy with cars, buses and trains.

 

2.      Do you think that our drinking water is contaminated?

 

Generally, I think that our drinking water is fairly clean. However, our water is slightly contaminated by sediments and harmful toxins that seep into our aquifers. Most people in Calgary use filters to ensure that they are drinking clean water.

 

3.      Is it important for you and your family to recycle?

 

I was taught at a young age to recycle so it is very important to me. Recycling helps our environment so everybody should do it.

 

4.      Should people be penalized for littering?

 

Yes, I think that people should be penalized for littering. People should not be able to throw garbage or recycling on the ground. There are so many public garbage bins that there is no excuse for littering. A small fine should be given to those that litter.

 

 

Part 2

 

내용 : 1분 동안 주어진 주제에 대해 생각을 정리하며 메모도 할 수 있는 시간이 주어지며, 1~2분 동안 정리된 내용에 대해 혼자서 얘기해야 합니다.

Describe an interesting wild animal.

An interesting wild animal that I have encountered in North America is a bear. There are two types of bears that live in this area; black bears and grizzly bears. When I was traveling to Montana, USA last summer, I saw a black bear on the side of the road. We pulled over immediately and began taking pictures.  It is quite easy to differentiate between a black bear and a grizzly bear. Grizzly bears are brown and have large humps on their shoulders, while black bears are generally black and have pointy ears. The black bear that we saw was drinking water from a creek with her two baby cubs. The babies were very small and cute. We felt nervous when we saw the cubs because mother bears are very protective. This was the first time I had ever seen a bear before. They are very cute but dangerous animals.

 

 

Part 3 (Discussion topics)

 

내용 : Part 2에서 나온 주제와 관련하여 추상적인 주제로 대화하는 시간입니다. 간단한 대화라기 보다는 논의/토론 형식에 가까운 형태로 이루어져야 합니다.

주의사항 : 얼마나 examiner와 상대로 자신의 의견을 타당성 있게, 그리고 자신감을 가지고 논리적으로 전개하느냐가 중요합니다.

 

1.   Have you ever visited a zoo?

 

Yes, I have visited a zoo before. I visited the Calgary zoo. They have lots of interesting animals such as giraffes, hippos and elephants and it was an amazing experience because I love animals. Next month, I will visit the penguins at the zoo with my family.

 

2.   Why don’t some people like zoos?

 

Some people do not like zoos because they believe that these animals should be wild. They should not be kept in cages for our entertainment. In their opinion, these animals belong in open spaces where they can run free and live amongst their own kind.
