IELTS 시험 전략 – Speaking 샘플 답안 1

IELTS 시험점수를 위한 Speaking이기도 하지만, 시험이 목표가 아닌 Speaking 실력을

늘리기 위해서도 꾸준히 공부하시면 도움이 되실 겁니다.

 

Speaking의 평가기준은 응시자의 영어구사능력, 적절하고 알맞은 문법과

어휘력을 평가하며 효과적으로 커뮤니케이션 할 수 있는가를 측정하는 시험입니다.

Test에서 다루어지는 Topic은 충분히 예측할 수 있는 기존의 기출문제 안에서

준비할 수 있는 내용이며 많은 연습이 필요합니다.

 

자기소개, 가족소개 그리고 자신의 직업을 소개하는 부분은 기본적으로 자연스럽게

말할 수 있어야 하므로 이 Topic들부터 시작하여 매주마다 기출문제를

바탕으로 샘플답안을 올려 보도록 하겠습니다.

 

 

Part 1

 

내용 : 본인의 신상명세 및 개인생활에 대한 질문들이 나옵니다.

주의사항 : 의사소통에 중점을 두며 대화를 익숙하고 매끄럽게 이어가는 것이 중요합니다.

 

<Introduction>

 

1.      Can you tell me your full name please?

홍길동을 자신의 이름으로 바꾸세요 ^^

    My name is Gildong Hong.

 

2.      Can I see your identification card please?

Yes, here it is.

 

 

<Family>

 

1.      How many people are there in your family?

자신의 가족 구성원으로 바꾸어 말해 보세요.

There are four people in my family: my husband, my daughter, my son and I.

There are five people in my family: myself, my wife and three sons.

 

2.      Tell me about your family.

가족소개도 해 보세요. (아들만 셋인 집)

My wife is a cook at a Korean restaurant. She loves to exercise and watch movies. My eldest son is in his second year in university. He is studying Computer Science. My second son is in grade 12. He is very interested in hockey and hopes to join the NHL. My youngest son is in grade 10. He is very artistic and loves to paint.

 

딸만 둘인 집은 이렇게 하면 되겠죠?

My oldest daughter is in grade 9.

My youngest daughter is in grade 6.

 

 

<Interests>

 

1.      What do you do in your spare time?

to 다음에 base form(동사원형)을 사용하는 것을 잊지 마시고.

 I like to read books and listen to music in my spare time.

 I like to read newspapers and watch TV in my spare time.

 

2. What kind of movies do you like to watch?

어떤 영화를 좋아한다 말했으면 이유도 말해 주세요. Why 좋아 하냐구요?

I like to watch horror movies because I enjoy the suspense.

I like to watch action movies because they are very exciting.

I like to watch comedies because they are very entertaining.

I like to watch romantic movies because they are very heart-warming.

I like to watch detective movies because they are very intriguing.

 

2.      Who is your favorite actor/singer?

    좋아하는 배우나 가수가 누구죠?  “없다” 말하면, 점수가 걱정됨. 지금부터라도 한 명을 정해 놓고 좋아하는 이유도 말해야지요.

My favorite performer is Michael Jackson. He was the King of Pop. His music is very entertaining. I especially like his song “You are Not Alone” and “Heal the World”.

 

<Work>

 

1.      What do you do?

직업을 묻는 질문입니다.

I am a cook at a Korean restaurant.

I work at a Korean restaurant as a cook.

 

2.      How many people do you work with?

몇 명의 사람들과 함께 일을 하나요?

 I work with six people. There are 2 other cooks, 2 servers and 2 managers.

 

3.      Where is the restaurant?

 The restaurant is located on 17^th Ave SW in Calgary.

 

4. What time do you start and finish work?

 I start work at 9 am and finish at 5 pm.

 

4.      How long does it take you to get to work?

직장까지 가는데 얼마나 걸리나요?

 It usually takes me 30 minutes to get to work by car. When there is a lot of traffic, it takes much longer.

 

 

Part 2

 

내용 : 1분동안 주어진 주제에 대해 생각을 정리하며 메모도 할 수 있는 시간이 주어지며, 1~2분 동안 정리된 내용에 대해 혼자서 얘기해야 합니다.

주의사항 : 질문의 핵심을 뚫은 대답과 논리적인 설명이 필요합니다. 불필요하거나 질문의 내용에서 동떨어진 것을 얘기하지 말아야 합니다.

 

 

Describe your favorite photograph

You should say:

 

Where was the photo taken?

Who took the photo?

What can be seen in the photo?

And explain why it is your favorite photograph.

어디에서 그 사진을 찍었는지?

누가 찍었는지?

그 사진에서 무엇을 볼 수 있는지?

그리고 왜 그것이 당신이 가장 좋아하는 사진인지를 설명하세요.

 

처음에 시작을 My favorite photograph is ~ 로 시작해서 어디에서 찍었고, 누가 찍었고, 무엇을 볼 수 있고, 왜 그 사진을 가장 좋아하는 지를 설명한 다음, 마지막 문장에선 so I love this picture 와 같은 문장으로 말을 마무리합니다.

 

My favorite photograph is the one I took when I was at Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls has some of the most beautiful scenery in Canada; thus, when I took a picture there, the natural beauty of the place was evident in the background. I went there with my husband and my brother-in-law. We wore raincoats while we were on the sightseeing ship. Someone took the photo for us. It is my favorite photo because it reminds me of the excitement I felt during that trip. It was actually my first trip to Eastern Canada, so I was obviously extremely excited. Also, I was really impressed with the falls and I reflected on God's creative power. Whenever I see this photo, it reminds me of the feeling I felt at that moment, so I love this picture.
