Speaking의 평가기준은 응시자의 영어구사능력, 적절하고 알맞은 문법과

어휘력을 평가하며 효과적으로 커뮤니케이션 할 수 있는가를 측정하는 시험입니다.

Test에서 다루어지는 Topic은 충분히 예측할 수 있는 기존의 기출문제 안에서

준비할 수 있는 내용이며 많은 연습이 필요합니다.

이번 주에는 Part 1에서는 인터넷에 관하여, Part 2, 3에서는 환경문제에 관하여 기출문제를 바탕으로

Part 1

내용 : 본인의 신상명세 및 개인생활에 대한 질문들이 나옵니다.

주의사항 : 의사소통에 중점을 두며 대화를 익숙하고 매끄럽게 이어가는 것이 중요합니다.

<Internet>

인터넷을 사용하는데 있어 장점과 단점은 꼭 정리해 놓으세요. 이 topic은 Speaking 뿐 아니라 Writing에서도 출제될 수 있는 문제입니다.

1.       How often do you use the internet?

얼마나 자주 인터넷을 사용하나요?

I use the internet every day.

I use the internet twice a day.

I use the internet once a week.

I am always on the internet on my smart phone.

2.       What do you usually do on the internet?

당신은 인터넷에서 무엇을 하나요?

I check my e-mail approximately twice a day. I like to shop online and watch videos on YouTube.

3.       What are some advantages of the internet?

인터넷의 장점은 무엇인가요?

There are many advantages to the internet. First of all, we can access useful information online. We do not need to rely on books or television. Secondly, the internet has made banking and shopping much more convenient. Finally, e-mail and online chatting help us to keep in contact with friends world-wide.

4.       What are some disadvantages of the internet?

인터넷의 단점은 무엇인가요?

      There are many disadvantages to the internet. Many websites online are strictly intended

      for adults; however, young children have full access to them. Violent online video games

      have become very popular. Unfortunately, these games promote violence to young users.

      It is also easier for identity theft to happen if you are not careful when using the internet.

5.       Do people in your country use the internet a lot?

당신의 나라에서 사람들이 인터넷을 많이 사용하나요?

Yes, people in my country use the internet a lot. There are a variety of reasons why people use the internet. Mostly, they use it for business or pleasure. Also, the internet speed is extremely fast in Korea; it is the fastest in the world.

네, 우리나라 사람들은 인터넷을 많~이 사용합니다. 사람들이 인터넷을 사용하는 다양한 이유들이 있지요. 대부분, 그들은 business나 pleasure을 위해 사용합니다. 역시, 한국의 인터넷 속도는 대단히 빠릅니다. 

세계에서 가장 빨라요.

6.       Do you do any shopping on the internet?

     당신은 인터넷에서 쇼핑을 하나요?

      Yes, I usually shop online once a month. I like to buy clothes online

      because they are much cheaper than in the stores.

Part 2

내용 : 1분동안 주어진 주제에 대해 생각을 정리하며 메모도 할 수 있는 시간이 주어지며, 1~2분 동안 정리된 내용에 대해 혼자서 얘기해야 합니다.

주의사항 : 질문의 핵심을 뚫은 대답과 논리적인 설명이 필요합니다. 불필요하거나 질문의 내용에서 동떨어진 것을 얘기하지 말아야 합니다.

환경문제와 관련된 topic 또한 Speaking 뿐 아니라 Writing에서도 출제될 수 있는 문제입니다.

Modern societies have a lot of environmental problems, for example, air pollution, deforestation, and water pollution. Air pollution is one of the biggest problems because it affects so many people around the world, especially in large urban areas such as New York, Mexico City, Tokyo, Beijing, and Seoul. There are many cars and factories, and these cause air pollution. This problem has existed for a really long time, but has become worse since the Industrial Revolution, especially with the invention of the internal combustion engine and the factory system. Air pollution results in breathing difficulties and illness for many people. We can solve the problem of air pollution by reducing the number of cars and encouraging the use of public transportation. For example, people who usually drive to work can take public transit at least once a week instead. Another solution is for factories to install air filtering systems called scrubbers. The environment is very important for our health, so we need to take serious steps to keep it clean.

Part 3 (Discussion topics)

내용 : Part 2에서 나온 주제와 관련하여 추상적인 주제로 대화하는 시간입니다. 간단한 대화라기 보다는 논의/토론 형식에 가까운 형태로 이루어져야 합니다.

주의사항 : 얼마나 examiner와 상대로 자신의 의견을 타당성 있게, 그리고 자신감을 가지고 논리적으로 전개하느냐가 중요합니다.

1. What should the government do to protect the environment?

정부는 환경을 보호하기 위하여 무엇을 하여야 할까요?

I think the government should make an effective environmental policy. For example, the government should increase taxes on cars and impose fines for the improper disposal of waste. This will complement an emphasis on mass transit as well as recycling programs.

2. How should we educate our children to protect the environment?

우리는 환경을 보호하기 위하여 우리의 아이들에게 어떻게 교육하여야 할까요?

We have to teach our children how to protect the environment. For example, they need to learn the importance of recycling and how to properly dispose of different types of waste, such as organic versus inorganic waste.  We need to teach them that they must throw waste paper, newspaper, and books in one bin; cans and bottles in a different bin.
