IELTS 시험점수를 위한 Speaking이기도 하지만, 시험이 목표가 아닌 Speaking 실력을 늘리기 위해서도 꾸준히 공부하시면 도움이 되실 겁니다.

 

Speaking의 평가기준은 응시자의 영어구사능력, 적절하고 알맞은 문법과

어휘력을 평가하며 효과적으로 커뮤니케이션 할 수 있는가를 측정하는 시험입니다.

Test에서 다루어지는 Topic은 충분히 예측할 수 있는 기존의 기출문제 안에서

준비할 수 있는 내용이며 많은 연습이 필요합니다.

 

이번 주에는 Part 1에서는 휴일과 영화에 관하여, Part 2, 3에서는 가장 좋아하는 계절에 관하여 기출문제를 바탕으로 샘플답안을 올립니다.  샘플답안들은 저희 웹사이트 www.noble-academy.com 자유게시판에도 동시에 올리고 있습니다.

 

 

Part 1

 

내용 : 본인의 신상명세 및 개인생활에 대한 질문들이 나옵니다.

주의사항 : 의사소통에 중점을 두며 대화를 익숙하고 매끄럽게 이어가는 것이 중요합니다.

 

<holidays>

 

1.      What do you like to do on vacation?

당신은 휴가에 무엇을 하는걸 좋아하나요?

 

I like to go to the beach when I’m on vacation. I like to swim in the ocean and lay in the sun!

 

When I am on vacation, I love to explore. In Alberta, I like to go on hikes and see the beautiful scenery in the Rocky Mountains.

 

2.      What is your favorite holiday?

가장 좋아하는 휴일은 무엇인가요?

 

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I enjoy going to church with my family and friends on Christmas Eve. We pray and sing carols.

 

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. We usually have a big turkey dinner with our family. I love spending time with all of them!

 

3.      What do you do to relax?

당신은 휴식을 위해서 무엇을 하나요?

 

I like to listen to music, especially classical music, when I am trying to relax.

I feel very relaxed when I attend the Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

4.      Why do you think relaxing is important?

왜 휴식이 중요하다고 생각하나요?

 

I think that relaxing is important because it reduces my stress and gives me more energy.

1.      Do you prefer to watch a movie at home or in the cinema?

I prefer to watch movies at home, because it is more comfortable. I enjoy lying on the couch with my family while I am watching movies.

 

I prefer to watch movies in the cinema. I love watching movies on the big screen with surround sound. I love to eat popcorn while I am watching movies.

 

2.      What was the last film that you watched?

당신이 보았던 마지막 영화가 무엇이었나요?

 

The last film that I watched was “Enemy at the gates.” This film is based on War World II. It is very dramatic and emotional.

 

3.      Do you prefer to watch comedies or dramas?

당신은 코미디를 선호하나요 아니면 드라마를 선호하나요?

 

I prefer to watch comedies because they make me laugh. My favorite comedy is “Wedding Crashers.”

 

4.      Do you enjoy eating food at the cinema? Popcorn?

당신은 극장에서 food 먹는 거를 즐기나요?

 

Yes, I love eating popcorn in the cinema. It always tastes much better than home made popcorn!

 

5.      What is the most memorable film that you have watched?

당신이 보았던 가장 기억에 남는 영화가 무엇인가요?

 

The most memorable film that I have watched is Titanic. It is a dramatic film with many famous actors such as Leonardo Decaprio.

 

 

Part 2

 

내용 : 1분동안 주어진 주제에 대해 생각을 정리하며 메모도 할 수 있는 시간이 주어지며, 1~2분 동안 정리된 내용에 대해 혼자서 얘기해야 합니다.

주의사항 : 질문의 핵심을 뚫은 대답과 논리적인 설명이 필요합니다. 불필요하거나 질문의 내용에서 동떨어진 것을 얘기하지 말아야 합니다.

 

Describe your favorite season

가장 좋아하는 계절을 설명하세요.

 

You should say:

   What is your favorite season

   Where do you go to enjoy it

   How does this season make you feel

   Why do other people like it

My favorite season is winter because I love the snow! There are so many activities for me during the winter time. I love snowboarding, tobogganing, making snowmen and drinking warm hot chocolate by the fire. Also, there are so many festivities during this special season such as Christmas, and New Years. This season always makes me so happy, as I usually spend most of it with my family. Most people typically prefer the summer because it is warm; however, I definitely prefer the cold. I find it so peaceful to watch the snow fall, especially on the Rocky Mountains. It snows much more in Calgary than it does in Korea. I love it here!

 

 

Part 3 (Discussion topics)

 

내용 : Part 2에서 나온 주제와 관련하여 추상적인 주제로 대화하는 시간입니다. 간단한 대화라기 보다는 논의/토론 형식에 가까운 형태로 이루어져야 합니다.

주의사항 : 얼마나 examiner와 상대로 자신의 의견을 타당성 있게, 그리고 자신감을 가지고 논리적으로 전개하느냐가 중요합니다.

 

1. Why do people prefer warm weather over cold weather?

왜 사람들은 추운 날씨보다 따뜻한 날씨를 선호하나요?

 

I think people prefer warm weather over cold weather because it is very relaxing.

There are many more activities to do in the summer time.

 

2. What kinds of jobs are difficult to do in hot weather?

어떤 종류의 직업들이 더운 날씨에 일하기가 어려운가요?

 

People who have to work outside find it difficult in the hot weather, especially construction workers and roofers.

 

3. Do you prefer to work indoors or outdoors?

당신은 실내에서 일하기를 선호하나요 아니면 실외에서 일하기를 선호하나요?

 

I prefer to work indoors because I can control the temperature. It is not too hot and not too cold.
